PROGRAM FEES INCLUDES HOTEL/DORM AND MEALS*

At George Washington University, Capitol Leadership Academy participants will have the opportunity to explore the subjects of politics and national security in the heart of our nation’s capital. Not only will students meet directly with policymakers, they will make site visits to the Capitol Building, White House and Pentagon.

Guest speakers and workshop sessions will invite students to think critically about issues such as foreign policy, anti-terrorism legislation and civil liberties.

Students will stay on the beautiful George Washington University campus, located in Washington DC. Meals are provided as part of the program.

Commuter Option: Local students wishing to commute to CLA are eligible for special pricing. Contact the CLA registration office for further details.

CLA is the nation’s premier political incubator for minority students. It empowers today’s youth to become tomorrow’s leaders. In addition to each session’s individual focus, students learn government fundamentals, tried and true lobbying techniques, grassroots mobilization strategies and campaign basics. CLA graduates return home ready to mobilize their community, manage local campaigns and run for political office.
