About Capitol Leadership Academy
Capitol Leadership Academy (CLA), a project of United Voices
for America, is a summer intensive youth training program, intended to equip young minorities from around the country with the tools to take civic action, run for office, engage directly with policy makers, and network with like-minded young people.
Founded by Ahmed Bedier, United Voices For America is one of the fastestgrowing and respected civic engagement organizations in the country. We are a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to increasing minority participation in the political process. We believe that diversity and 
pluralism are strengths we should celebrate; America is stronger when ALL its people are engaged in the democratic process, and those in power should reflect the diversity of the people they represent.
