United Voices is calling on President Trump to demand an immediate halt to Israeli military attacks in Gaza after Israeli forces killed 11 members of the Abu Shaaban family — including seven children and three women — when a tank shell struck the bus they were traveling in as they attempted to return home and assess damage from earlier bombardment. It is the deadliest single attack since the ceasefire began.

United Voices is also calling on the State Department and the United Nations to investigate mounting evidence of torture found on the bodies of Palestinian detainees returned to Gaza. Of the 135 bodies returned so far, many show signs of torture or execution — a potential violation not only of international law but of U.S. laws governing foreign aid recipients.

“The massacre of a family traveling to inspect the ruins of their home is a deliberate and blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement,” United Voices said. “The Trump administration must demand that Netanyahu stop using American taxpayer dollars and American weapons to sabotage the ceasefire that America brokered — so he can restart the killing in Gaza.”

The attack on the Abu Shaaban family follows a pattern of steadily escalating Israeli military actions since the ceasefire took effect. The previous week, Israeli forces killed seven Palestinians, restricted the entry of food and humanitarian aid, and imposed a fuel ban — actions United Voices described at the time as deliberate attempts to undermine the agreement.

“Torturing people to death after kidnapping and holding them without charge is a violation of international law and of U.S. law governing who can receive American military assistance,” United Voices said. “Human rights are not optional. They must be applied universally — including when the violator is a U.S. ally.”

United Voices is demanding the Trump administration hold Prime Minister Netanyahu’s government publicly accountable for these ceasefire violations and make clear that continued U.S. military and diplomatic support is not unconditional.
