At least 12 children were among 41 Palestinians killed in Israeli bombardments of Gaza in a single day. Seven more people died from Israel’s forced starvation over the same 24 hours, bringing the total starved to death to 420, including 145 children. The overall death toll in Gaza has surpassed 65,000 — with Israeli intelligence’s own data showing 83 percent were civilians.
United Voices applauds U.S. Senators Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) and Jeff Merkley (D-OR) for traveling to the Middle East and attempting to enter Gaza to witness the humanitarian catastrophe firsthand — and is calling on more members of Congress to follow their lead and use every legislative tool available to end the U.S.-backed blockade.
United Voices is calling on the United Nations, the Trump administration, and every government committed to human rights to immediately halt Israel’s announced plan to forcibly remove Palestinians from northern Gaza — a textbook act of ethnic cleansing that violates international law and is being carried out as thousands of civilians already face starvation.
The death toll from Israel’s forced starvation of Gaza has reached 175 people — 93 of them children. On the same day that number was reported, Israeli forces killed at least 92 people including dozens of aid seekers, and Israeli extremists staged a provocative intrusion on the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound.
