United Voices is urging every member of Congress to reject the Trump administration’s proposed $6 billion weapons sale to Israel, warning that approving the deal means signing off on the continued killing of Palestinian civilians in Gaza.
At least 12 children were among 41 Palestinians killed in Israeli bombardments of Gaza in a single day. Seven more people died from Israel’s forced starvation over the same 24 hours, bringing the total starved to death to 420, including 145 children. The overall death toll in Gaza has surpassed 65,000 — with Israeli intelligence’s own data showing 83 percent were civilians.
After a seven-day fact-finding mission to Gaza’s border, the West Bank, Egypt, and Jordan, Senators Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) and Jeff Merkley (D-OR) released a landmark report accusing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of overseeing a campaign of ethnic cleansing against the Palestinian people — and implicating the United States government as complicit through its continued military support.
