United Voices is rallying all registered Muslim voters in Michigan to actively participate in the state’s primary election set for Tuesday, Feb. 27. This election offers a pivotal chance for American Muslims to influence the future direction of the nation.

Michigan’s election process provides two separate ballots, allowing citizens to vote in either the Republican or Democratic presidential primaries, highlighting the importance of informed participation in selecting the country’s leadership.

In anticipation of this and future elections, United Voices is gearing up to relaunch its “Muslims Vote” initiative nationwide. This campaign aims to equip voters with essential resources, including an election calendar, a guide with sample questions for candidates, surveys reflecting Muslim voter attitudes, and additional get-out-the-vote materials.

Speaking on the matter, a spokesperson for United Voices emphasized the significance of the upcoming presidential primary: “This Tuesday’s election represents a critical moment for Michigan’s Muslim community to express their preferences and concerns. We urge every eligible voter, regardless of their candidate preference or decision to vote uncommitted, to participate. The act of voting is a powerful way for American Muslims to amplify their voices and contribute to the democratic process.”

United Voices is committed to ensuring that the Muslim community’s voice is heard loud and clear at the polls, underscoring the vital role of civic engagement in shaping our democracy.
